Orbicular granite

The orbicular rock slabs at Slättemossa, south of Järnforsen, represent the only known occurrence of orbicular rock in fixed crevices in Sweden.

The last ice age polished the rock, revealing cross-sections of granite spheres on two rock slabs, each less than 20 square meters in size and located 50 meters apart.

This unique geological feature makes it look as though thousands of eyes are staring at the visitor.
